Rocking the Theater

Last Tuesday night’s city council meeting brought about a visit from the executives of B & B Theatres requesting a variance on the parking spaces for the proposed theater.

According to their presentation, the 12 screen theater will also boast 4 VIP balconies that will be 21 and over.  These exclusive balconies will sport leather rockers and will sell alcohol and food.   B & B hope to build their main screen as large as if not larger than the IMAX at AMC Firewheel.

The building will be quite attractive and will place the main large theater opposite the entrance and lobby which is then surrounded by the other 11 smaller theaters.

This deal is not guaranteed yet, however WEDC Executive Director Sam Satterwhite will be bringing their incentive package before city council at the next meeting in December.

Though an aggressive date, this theater could literally be rocking by the holidays 2012.
